If you computer is attacked by virus, or your computer system is not performing well after installation of some software, you can easily use system restore to get rid of all malfunctioning.

Many people first try to remove virus by running antivirus or another software, it may not remove virus completely.

To Restore the system go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore.

Choose the latest available point, when the system was working fine and restore the system to that point.

The system will be exacly same as it was on restoring date. This method will not delete or modify other file which is not related to program file of Windows XP.
